We measure and fabricate the sails itself, but with structures or posts we subcontract to other contractors for the engineering, structure design and installation. We then supply the sail/cover to the contractor for final installation.

On acceptance of our quote, we would require 50% deposit upfront, with the remaining amount payable on completion, installation or collection. We accept cheque, cash, Eftpos and credit cards.

We offer a 12-month workmanship warranty along with the materials warranty.

When talking percentage factors with shade cloth, typically the material is given a rating which represents the amount of UV Radiation it blocks, e.g., 95%, 90% down to 30%. UVR Block is the percentage of ultra violet radiation, that a fabric prevents from transmitting through the fabric. Shade cloth forms a physical barrier which actually absorbs and/or reflects the UV radiation, essentially blocking it and creating a lower UV zone beneath it. This is a different measurement to its shade factor. Lighter coloured shade cloths create lower shade factors than darker shade cloths. Both colours could be rated to block an average of 90% UVR, but the white might only give a 60% Shade factor, whereas the black might give an 80% shade factor. What is happening is that darker coloured shade cloths are blocking and absorbing more visible light than lighter coloured ones. Lighter coloured shade cloth reflect light giving less shade. Several factors can affect the UVR block & shade factor of shade cloth. This includes colour as mentioned, whether fabric is knitted or woven, weave density, amount of tension applied to sail when erected, thickness & age/condition of shade cloth.

We can supply shade cloth with a UVR rating up to 95% and commonly down to 90% for shade sails. Large commercial projects can have custom ratings made. For horticultural applications we can supply different percentages ranging from 30% up to 80%. In each instance refer to specification sheets as UVR rating & shade factor can vary with colour.

You can keep your sail clean by removing all leaves and debris that might fall onto it. Dirt and dust are going to appear on your sail. You can use a hose to clean off the sail. In some cases, for a deeper clean you can use a PH free detergent with warm soapy water and a soft bristle brush to remove stubborn marks. You will receive a care and maintenance booklet with your sail.
