We offer a wide range of fabrics with varying UV resistance and a choice of seaming techniques to ensure the best possible outcome for your requirements. Seams in most material can be fully welded (except for canvas) and the hems can be reinforced to suit your individual requirements.
Welding of materials is carried out by thermal welding using hot wedge welders, hot air welders & high frequency welding . Hot wedge & hot air welding both provide watertight seams along with added strength compared to sewing. Hot air welders enable us to weld curved shapes and other difficult areas where hot wedge welding is restricted. High frequency welding provides an excellent quality bond with PVC based material only, however it is a slower process in comparison to hot wedge or hot air welding.
The traditional method of sewing industrial textiles is still used and with developments in thread technology over the years (such as with PTFE thread - teflon), products have been able to achieve a better life expectancy without the need for restitching. New threads can have have excellent UV resistance, chemical resistance & do not rot easily like old cotton threads.
Tarps can be manufacture to varying designs utilising additions such different eyelets (eg: stainless steel / brass), pockets for timber battening or tubing/ posts, varying levels of reinforcing, welded/sewn in rope edges, & different ropes & tie down options.
